Principal's Message: April 3, 2022
Posted 4/4/22

Hello Madison Community! This is Principal Crespin with an overview of this upcoming week.

  1. Yearbooks on Sale: Yearbooks are currently on sale. However, the deadline to purchase one is quickly approaching. April 5 is the last day to buy one. Yearbooks are not sold at school. Instead, parents/guardians need to order one via the online link provided on the attached flyer. The cost is $23.95. Madison Yearbook Flyer For questions, please email our yearbook sponsor teacher Sheri Provencio at

  2. Testing Starts April 5: We will be starting the state test this week. Students will be taking the language arts test. We have made an adjustment to our bell schedule to adjust for testing. Instead of all seven periods meeting each day, we will be on a block schedule where students will attend their advisory class each day along with either their even-numbered classes or their odd-numbered classes. This has been designed to accommodate the extra time to complete the tests. Parents/guardians, we need your help. Here is how you can ensure students are ready to go each day:

    • Make sure your student goes to bed early to get plenty of rest.

    • Encourage students to eat breakfast each day either at home or at school.

    • Have students arrive on time. This is very important! If a student is late and the

test has begun, the student will have to do a make-up test at a later date.

    • Talk to your student/s about taking the test seriously, by doing their best and

      taking their time.
Thank you for your help with this. Testing will occur from April 5 – April 22 with make-up tests to follow on April 25-29.

  3. Shelter-in-Place Drill: Each month we have to practice an emergency drill. Up to this point, we have been completing fire drills each month. This month, however, we will be doing a shelter in place drill. This drill is designed for situations when there is an environmental threat, such as a gas leak nearby and requires students to remain inside the building. The drill will take place on Monday, April 4, 2022.

  4. Quality of Education and Title I Family Engagement Survey: Please take a moment to answer our school’s Quality of Education and Title I Family Engagement Survey 2022 by clicking the link below. Your feedback is important to the continued growth and improvement of our school. It is only necessary to complete one survey per student. The deadline to complete it is Friday, April 8, 2022. Our goal is to have at least 30% of our school community complete the survey. Currently, only 15% have done so. Please help us reach our goal. Thank you for your participation in this survey!

These are all the announcements for this week. Have a great Sunday evening and enjoy the Magic!
